Firefighter 1 Class Graduation Congratulations to Jason Candaras & Steven Dauster of Fire Co #3 and Ramon Rodriguez of Fire Co #2 for completing the Firefighter one training cours.

The severe thunderstorms that rolled through the area on Friday evening the Fair Lawn Fire Dept was dispatched to a call for wires down and burning. Upon arrival they discovered lighting had struck a set of high voltage cables along Broadway severing them and causing them to fall on top of the Assistant Chiefs SUV. Assistant Chief Hoistma was not in the vehicle at the time and was having dinner at a local restaurant. Damage was done to the passenger side door and the window was broken, no one was injured.
